no name closed species

a species I made up today

when born; the face is almost like a ceramic pot. the parents paint the child with warm colors if it is a girl and cool colors for boys. As they grow, their face smooths out and becomes shinier. Often, they are found trying to paint more of their body, such as their tails and wings- each one wants to be as "pretty" as possible so they can get their mates. They eat the flowers that they get pigment from and also moss and cave sprites.

any name ideas?
